A Fun and Playful App

Leslie Holycross

February 28, 2012

With the world of technology exploding it can be so overwhelming just trying to keep up.  Between the best cool websites and the tons of apps it’s almost impossible to know where to turn.  Some days I just wish I could put them all in a catalog or dictionary format that was orderly and all-inclusive.  I have quickly realized that I have a few go-to sites that are pretty helpful.  One of those sites is a website by Kim Komando….http://www.komando.com.  She shares tech tips, articles, cool sites, best apps, and much more.

Recently I was reading her newsletter and was checking out the App of the Day.  I have used many of her education related apps and I usually love her recommendations.  My latest love has become the card making apps.  Kim Komando recommended three different greeting card apps:  Sincerely Ink, Red Stamp, and Cartonlina.  These sites have collections of thank-you notes, Christmas cards, Valentine’s cards, birthday cards, invites, etc.

The cards are easy to customize by adding different colors, text, and photos.  After you design them they can be sent to friends and family directly off your contact list.  You can send them electronically, or they will send them in the traditional mail for a small fee, of course.  I sent Christmas cards and thank-you notes this year and I was very pleased with the quality.  They were easy to create and took very little time to put one together.

If you are looking for an easy way to send a card, then I would highly recommend getting an app for that!
